This make up bag is perfect for using your scrap yarns and is so useful! You can use it to store hooks and notions, pencils and crayons, medicines and so much more. This one is slightly more complucated than the others in the list due to the stitch, but is worth a try! The free pattern tells you how to add a button fastening, although the pdf pattern also shows you how to add a zipper and lining.
The Annie Bandana – Quick Easy Dog Bandana
This is an easy pattern that uses around 60 yards of 3 weight yarn and a 4mm hook (although you can make it with 4 weight and a 5mm hook too - just be sure to adjust the number of rows needed for the size!). I wrote this pattern in several sizes too so you can get the perfect fit for your fur baby.
Hugo Bow Tie – free crochet pattern for your dogs!
If you have a dapper dog, as my Hugo absolutely is, then you will want to make this equally dapper bow tie for him. It takes me around 20 minutes to make and Hugo has one to match each of his collars. You will need 20 yards of 3 weight yarn and a 4mm hook.

You will need about 85 yards of 5 weight cotton yarn for this one and an 8mm tunisian crochet hook. By the end of this project you will have mastered the tunisian full stitch.

I used approximately 27 meters of 2 weight yarn and a 3mm hook to get a slim version and use up some mini-skeins that I had, but you can make this one in 3 weight yarn with a 4mm hook. This pattern was one of my first - and probably the first video tutorial I did! It uses a stitch called the waffle stitch (which is not like the one most commonly recognised). But little baskets like this are so handy for beside beds, sinks and entrance ways to keep things like coins, watches and rings and keys in.
