Looking for a gift for that green-fingered friend or relative? The Carrots corner to corner square was designed specifically for the Community Garden Blanket CAL, which is free unisex CAL that I hosted between 2nd September and 21st October 2022.

This square uses the traditional corner to corner method in HDC – but you can use double crochet or use the chart for a smaller tapestry crochet square.

LAYOUT:
The PDF Pattern includes the chart, written instructions and colour block instructions.
SIZE:
Mine worked out at approximately 12.5″ using the HDC but with DC it will be around 16-18″ depending on your tension.

- #4 worsted weight yarn
- Size H-5mm hook

Are you thinking about making the Community Garden blanket? If not, You could work the carrots square in DC to make a throw pillow, join several for a table or bed runner or make it in a chunky t-shirt or ribbon yarn as a small mat (maybe you have a house rabbit and could put their dinner on the mat?)
