The Tunisian Color Block Scarf is a great stash buster and quick gift idea that also teaches you how to do the basics of Tunisian Crochet. It uses the Tunisian simple stitch and Tunisian half double crochet!
This Tunisian Crochet scarf pattern really is the perfect pattern to get you started on your Tunisian Crochet journey!
Video tutorials are linked in both the pattern and the blog post for these stitches for both right and left handed crocheters. I also have a learn to Tunisian Crochet series which you may be interested in (linked in the blog post) in which you will learn 12 Tunisian Crochet stitches and create a very pretty patchwork blanket.
I used one Caron Cake for my scarf which resulted in a scarf almost 70” long by 7.5” wide so it is a great stash buster too.
Pattern is also free on the blog linked and video tutorials are included in the blog post.
You will need:
1 Caron cake (or 2 skeins of 100g #4 weight yarn of choice)
6.5mm tunisian hook
2 stitch markers to mark first and last stitches
tapestry needle to weave in ends.
Gauge is not important and you can make it as wide or long as you desire!
Give it a try and remember to share your projects with me!
