This reading pillow pattern is THE perfect gift! It is unisex and it is appropriate for all ages. How many patterns tick all of those boxes??

I love that this reading pillow can be used to encourage children to read. I enjoy reading and will do so at any opportunity. However, I understand that not everyone loves a good book. This reading pillow pattern is still appropriate. Use it to hold remote controls for the TV or computer, pop the daily newspaper or a magazine in it. Children can keep their pyjamas in the pocket, or their special teddy. What about gifting it with a box of chocolates or a special photograph in the pocket?

Or you can do away with the pocket completely and just have a beautiful throw pillow. All you would need to do is increase the number of repeats on the pocket section to make it square.

❤ SIZE:  

This crochet reading pillow pattern will create a pillow cover to fit a 16″ pillow form. The stitch multiple is included to help you adjust the size to suit your requirements.

❤ MATERIALS:

I have written the pattern so that it includes the stitch numbers for both #3 (DK) and #4 (aran) weight yarn. You will need:

• If using 3 weight DK Yarn: Approx 400 m / 437 yds in main colour, 70 yardseach in c3 contrasting colours for the pocket.
• If using 4 weight yarn (aran) you will need approx. 400 yds in main colour, 80 yards in two contrasting colours.
• Appropriate sized hook (4 or 5mm)
• Stitch markers (optional)
