The peacock bag is perfect for a day trip to the beach. You an easily get a couple of towels, suncream, shades, a hat and your purse in there. Or alternatively this will hold a lot of groceries!
Do you prefer the round version or the tote style of this bag? Can’t decide? Then I have some great news – this pattern contains instructions for BOTH the round market bag and the tote versions!
This bag was designed using the peacock fan stitch and is such a fun one to do, and a fairly quick make too! You will surprised how much these bags will hold.

❤ LAYOUT:
Our patterns all share the same layout which is easy to read and easy to find important information you need, such as materials needed, sizing information, gauge information, and special stitches used as well as how to do them.
❤ SIZE:
For the round bag – My bag is 15” wide and the body section is 15” tall, with the bottom being 15” in diameter.
For the tote style the size is similar – around 15” wide by 15” tall (not including the straps).
❤ MATERIALS:
• #4 worsted weight cotton (I used 3 skeins of dishie in green and 2 skeins in white for the market bag and 2 skeins of green and just over 1 white for the tote version)
• 5mm hook
• Stitch markers (optional)
• Scissors
• Tapestry needle
