The Joy Headband is a fun crochet headband pattern to make! It is a great stash busting project and a perfect piece for the Spring and Summer months.
Keep your hair out of your face this spring and summer by making the Joy Headband! It is fun and a little quirky with a larger lacy strip across the top of the head, tapering off and and joined together with a ribbed section.
This pattern is written in one adult size – to fit a head from 20-22”. BUT it is so easily adjustable for smaller or larger heads. My testers did not have an issue at all with my instructions for how to do this.
This headband perfectly matches my free crochet pattern for the Joy Wrap!
At Sunflower Cottage Crochet, I hire experienced crochet artisans to test my patterns for accuracy and readability.
My patterns all share the same layout which is easy to read and easy to find important information you need, such as materials needed, sizing information, gauge information, and special stitches used as well as how to do them.
❤ SIZE of this crochet headband pattern:
This headband works out as written to be 18.5’’ long when completed. The thicker section at the top is 15” long but I give the stitch multiple to reduce that if you would like to. As the final section is the ribbed section you can very easily make final adjustments by altering the length of this section.
You can use any #3 weight yarn for this project (you will need less than 100 yards), a 4mm hook and some stitch markers and tapestry needle.
