Sunflower Granny Square

Description

The Sunflower Granny Square is a perfect afghan block. It has a lot of beautiful texture, framed with the granny stitches and in the centre a gorgeous sunflower appliqué that can be used for so many things. 

The sunflower can be used as an appliqué in its own right on :

bags,

runners,

washcloths, 

scarves, and so much more!

Or make several of these squares and create a stunning afghan.

❤ LAYOUT:

My patterns all share the same layout which is easy to read and easy to find important information you need, such as materials needed, sizing information, gauge information, and special stitches used as well as how to do them.  These stitches often come with an accompanying video for further clarification.

Skill level – Confident beginner / intermediate

❤ SIZE:  

Once completed your square should be just under 8″ but will easily reach 8″ with blocking. 

❤ MATERIALS:

• #4 weight yarn of your choosing – you will need approx. 100 yards in main colour for the square, 20 yards in brown and 20 yards in yellow
• 5mm hook
• Stitch markers (optional)
• Scissors
• Tapestry needle
