Robin’s Christmas Tree Skirt

£4.50

This pattern features just the right amount of texture, which looks like little berries, to make the look complete – classic yet timeless. You can work this up in as many colors as you like, or pick just one. I chose to use the colors Autumn Red, Cream, and dark green in Caron Simply Soft yarn.
Or use icy blues and crisp white if you like the snowman and snowflake Christmas look. The possibilities are really endless! You will also need a tapestry needle, scissors, stitch markers, and time!

❤ LAYOUT:

Our patterns all share the same layout which is easy to read and easy to find important information you need, such as materials needed, sizing information, gauge information, and special stitches used as well as how to do them.

Written in US terms.

❤ SIZE:

The neck is 11 inches (not including the ties which makes it easily adjustable for most trees!), the bottom (along the ruffle) is approximately 140 inches. The sides measure approximately 276.5” So it is a good size tree skirt!

❤ MATERIALS:

We used (for the skirt photographed):

  • Caron simply soft in the following amounts:
    • 1 skein pistachio green
    • 2 skeins of autumn red (but only about ¼ of the second skein
    • 5 skeins of cream – you will definitely need 4 if you want a cream ruffle.

You can use any #4 weight (aran) yarn of your choice and a 5mm hook.

❤ PROCESSING TIME:

This is an instant PDF download once purchased.

You will also need a tapestry needle, scissors, stitch markers, and time!
This is not a super fast project, so be ready to spend a few hours working on this! I think it took me a total of 6 hours, working off and on, to get this done. Helen works a lot faster, but I think it still took her some time to finish.
