Granny’s Not Biased – Crochet Scarf Pattern

This crochet scarf pattern is an easy one to master as long as you know how to chain and double crochet (US Terms). This pattern gives the traditional granny stitch a modern twist that is fashionable, cozy and practical!

With an easy 1 row repeat it works up quickly and you can make a whole scarf with just one skein of #3 weight (DK) yarn (I used a Lionbrand Mandala cake) and a 5mm hook.

Stitch the ends together to create an infinity scarf if you prefer – the ends will slot perfectly into each other!

This pattern uses basic stitches.

Written Pattern includes:

  • Pattern also comes with links to the complete video tutorial for this pattern for both left and right handed crocheters.
  • Chart diagram

LAYOUT of the Granny’s not biased crochet scarf pattern:

My patterns all share the same layout. They are easy to read and easy to find important information you need, such as materials needed, sizing information, gauge information, and special stitches used as well as how to do them.

This easy scarf crochet pattern is easily be adjusted to create any size of project you would like. My scarf was 69″ long and 9″ wide. You cannot adjust the starting chain to make this one smaller because of the chevron shape.

  • 590 yards in any #3 weight yarn – I used 1 skein of Lionbrand Mandala in Pegasus.
  • 5mm hook
  • Stitch markers (optional)
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry needle
