Lemon Drops Kitchen Crochet Set
Lemon Drops Kitchen Crochet Set of Patterns
Introducing our Lemon Drops Crochet Set of patterns! We’re super excited to show you all the different patterns included in this set! We even joined an event to showcase it, the Hooked on Summer Event. Unfortunately this event is now finished, but you can still grab the patterns!
The Lemon Drops
With Summer here, I was inspired to design a kitchen set that had a fruit theme and the Lemon Drops Crochet Kitchen Set is perfect. I chose lemons because they are yellow, bright, and well, it goes with our branding colors! This is the first time I’ve really taken a few stitches and just put them together to manipulate them into an actual “thing”. Turns out, I really like doing that.
We haven’t had a set of patterns that relates to Kitchen as well as Dining Room yet, so I set out to do just that. The Lemon Drops set includes 4 different patterns:
Lemon Drops Potholder
For the Lemon Drops Potholder, I chose not to include the actual “lemons” and instead chose a tiny crossed single crochet stitch. This potholder needed to be thick and not have holes. I used the diagonal thick potholder method to make this, and loved how it came out.
This potholder is a total win! It’s very thick and being 100% cotton, it’s very durable and won’t melt like acrylic can. The pattern for this includes how to work the potholder so that you get the diagonal join. I think you will love it!
What You Will Need
Please keep in mind that this post contains affiliate links. These links help us keep the blog going, at no extra cost to you should you choose to buy from these links.
You will need 100% cotton yarn in white, yellow, and green. I recommend a stiff type, such as Lily Sugar N’ Cream or Peaches & Creme.
The amount of white needed is quite a lot, so I highly recommend getting the large cone of white cotton from Lily Sugar N Cream.
For yellow, you will need one “jumbo” sized skein of yellow, and a small skein of the green.
A 5mm hook is all that is needed for all 4 patterns.
Stitch markers–you will actually want these! Especially for the potholder, as that pattern is worked in continuous rounds.
Stitches Used
I used the Lemon Peel stitch, Large Bean, crossed single crochet, and the usual slip stitches to work these patterns. We have videos on our YouTube channel that will get you going if you have never done these stitches before.

Lemon Drops Washcloth
This pattern is done using the Lemon Peel stitch for the background which I felt was great for a lemon themed set. I to include the actual lemons in the design but didn’t want it to take over the whole cloth. So one stripe of lemons was just right for this.
I loved how this looked so much, that I just kept going with this cute little stripe of lemons!
For this pattern you will need
- #4 worsted weight cotton (approx. 75 yards in white, 20 yards of yellow and 15 yards of green)
- 5mm hook
- Stitch markers (optional)
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
The washcloth will be around 9” square.

Lemon Drops Towel
Here’s a great close-up of the Lemon Peel stitch and the “lemons” in the towel and washcloth. I felt that we needed a towel to go with the washcloth. Mine is hanging on my wall oven even now!
The Lemon Drops Kitchen Towel also has the one delicate stripe of lemons and their greenery incorporated into the design. I really felt like this kept it cute, simple, and classic.
Materials:
For the towel you will need:
- #4 worsted weight cotton (approx. 350 yards in white, 20 yards of yellow and 15 yards of green)
- 5mm hook
- Stitch markers (optional)
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
The towel measures approximately 21.5”; by 10.5” so is a good size.

Lemon Drops Placemat
For the Lemon Drops Placemat, I felt like it needed a stripe along the bottom and the top. This would give it a little bit of “framing”. I think this came out very pretty and is just enough pop of lemon to make this stand out just right.
I will say this though: make sure to get the large cone of white cotton yarn! You will need it!
