The Snowfall Tree Skirt CAL

The Snowfall Tree Skirt CAL
Spread the love

Whether you are hosting a family Christmas party this year or just sitting by the log fire with the tree lights on watching a Hallmark movie you NEED to make the Snowfall Tree Skirt!

The Snowfall Tree Skirt CAL is a project that I have been working on in secret with Fiona from Cosy Rosie UK and Susanna from Fosbas Designs! It is a beautiful tree skirt and is sure to give your tree that finished handmade touch. Tree stands can be clunky and sometimes just downright ugly. The Snowfall Tree Skirt will hide all of that, making your tree look very festive and welcoming!

We started planning and pulling this together at the beginning of November, so you can imagine how many hours went into this particular design. It wasn’t all smooth sailing so I hope you love this pattern!

How it works:

There are 3 parts to this skirt, each designed by one of us. As each section is released I will add the links here.

4th December 2021 – Part 1 – Designed by yours truly of Sunflower Cottage Crochet (keep reading for this section 😛 …. )

5th December 2021 – Part 2 – Designed by Susanna at Fosbas Designs

6th December 2021 – Part 3 –  Designed by Fiona at Cosy Rosie UK

We will not share a finished photo of the skirt until part 3 has been released!

There are 2 ways of creating your own Snowfall Tree Skirt

  • Use the links above to be taken to each designer’s blog post (once released) and find each section free on the blogs.
  • Do you prefer printed patterns? Then the PDF version is for you! This is available if you click the button below…

Materials list:

This pattern is written for chunky (#5 weight) yarn. You can use any colour(s) you choose.

If you are looking to pull from your stash and do not have chunky yarn then you can also use double stranded DK (#3 weight) yarn. Both work perfectly for this pattern!

Between the 3 of us designers, we have made this in all of the colour options!

Fiona has made a beautiful skirt in one solid colour, I made a 2 and a 3 colour version, and Susanna used 2 and 3 colours. Between us the colour combos we used (if you want some inspiration) are:

solid version – cream

2 colours – grey and white / grey and red

3 colours – red, green and cream / grey, red and brown
