FREE KATE MUG COZY CROCHET PATTERN – RELAX WITH A HOT DRINK THIS WINTER!

Do you love a hot drink during the colder months of the year? Then the Kate Mug Cozy free crochet pattern might be for you.

Mug cozies are fantastic patterns to make. They stop your hands from  getting too hot from the cup, and also keep your drinks warmer for  longer.

INSPIRATION BEHIND THE DESIGN

Back in the days when I did drink tea (yes, this pattern has been  waiting patiently for literally years!) I decided to make some mug  cozies.

At the time I was designing the Kate Collection and so it made sense to  use the same stitch combo that I used in that. Why not?! It’s a pretty  stitch combo and works up quickly.

Simply work the main section in rows, add the tab and button hole, and finish with a simple edging before attaching the button.

CONSTRUCTION OF THE DESIGN

MATERIALS:

- 4 worsted weight cotton - 5mm hook - scissors - measuring tape - tapestry needle

- Adjust the size by amending row 1 by multiples of 3. - Your stitch count will remain the same for the main body of your mug cozy on each row.

NOTES:

SIZING:

Finished size is approximately 11” (including the tab) wide x 2.5” tall.
