The bunny wall hanging is worked flat and in rows from the bottom up. At only 31 sts wide and 39 rows high is a nice project to keep you busy for an evening or two.
You can work your crochet wall hanging in any yarn you want to. I used a #4 weight (aran) cotton for mine. I find that cotton looks much nicer for much longer, blocks well, and can be washed and dried without worrying too much about it.
