A COZY WINTER AFGHAN – FREE CROCHET PATTERN

I just love my blankets and afghans. In fact my whole family do. I have lost count of how many I have made and gifted.

And then there is the blanket box that is bursting at the seams in my living room and the others that are stashed around the house!

If you are new to colour changing then this project is a great one to try it out on!

FUN TO WORK UP

You can either carry your yarn all of the way through or you can use bobbins and use a different bobbin for each block. Neither way is wrong.

– #4 worsted weight yarn:  green, cream, and brown – 6mm hook – Stitch markers (optional) – Scissors – Tapestry needle

MATERIALS:

For my blanket each block of colour was 3.25 inches wide and 2.5 inches tall.

GAUGE:

Approx. 39’’ wide and 55’’ long.

SIZING:

When changing colour it is best to change colour on the final pull through of the colour block to keep the colour changes neater.
