The Jorja Coaster free crochet pattern part of an entire table set!

free crochet coaster pattern

Hi Guys, Helen here!

I’m thrilled to be part of the Sunflower Cottage Crochet family and wanted to share the first free crochet coaster pattern in my Jorja Collection with you.

It’s a collection close to my heart as it is named after my awesome daughter, who is also my biggest crochet fan.

I wanted to create a collection that was simple (both to make and in design) but stylish, a collection that could be easily worked up to suit any taste and décor around the home just by the choice of colours.

We will be using the paired single crochet and chains to create a look that I don’t think could ever look outdated.

If I had to describe this style, I’d probably call it a vintage country chic look. I hope you like it as much as we do!

Pattern:

In colour A:

Row 1: FSC 11, ch1, turn

Row 2: PSC 11, ch1, turn

Rows 3-11: repeat row 2 but do not turn work at the end of row 11

Border:

Rnd 1: In the last stitch of row 11 (sc, ch2, sc) this will create your first corner. *PSC in next 9 sts, (sc, ch2, sc) in the next st* repeat 3 times, ss to first sc.

Join colour B to any ch2 space

Rnd 2: ch4, sk1, ss in next st, *ch3, sk1, ss to next st* around.

Note: you should have 6 Ch3 spaces along each side.

Rnd 3: SS to next ch3 sp, *ch3, ss to next ch3 sp* around.

Note: you will find that you create a ch3 for each corner again and there should be 5 ch3 spaces between each corner space. If you cannot see them, gently stretch your coaster a little, and they should be visible. You may want to use stitch markers to mark each corner.

Attach colour A to any corner.

Rnd 5: ch1, sc in each st around and in each ch2 ensure you (sc2, ch2, sc2). SS to first sc.
