Baby and Nursery Patterns Round-up

Baby and Nursery Patterns Round-up
Spread the love

It’s around this time of year that people start thinking about making their baby projects. Easter and it’s symbolism of new life tends to get people looking for those great baby and nursery patterns. The sun is starting to poke its head out for most of us at least occasionally and so we start looking for those lighter weight and smaller projects to keep us occupied.

I’ve teamed up with some fabulous designers to bring you this roundup of both free and paid patterns that would be perfect additions to any nursery, and great baby shower gifts!

($) indicates that the pattern is paid.

(f) indicates that the pattern is free.

Shall we dive straight in?

Baby Blankets:

Baby blankets are an essential in any nursery …. and can you really have too many? As the baby grows these gifts make great car blankets to keep little legs warm on those chillier car journeys.

First up is our Paige baby blanket ($). This design looks so different depending on the colour scheme you choose. And its a quick make with a simple pattern! You can find this pattern is here.

Made by Gootie has the gorgeous Samma’s Blanket ($) which uses 4ply yarn and a 5.5mm (I) hook. You can find it here.

Jo’s Craft Hook has used dk weight yarn and 5mm (H) hook for this Jacob’s Ladder Kradle Blanket ($). I love how this looks in stripes! You can find the pattern here.

Crafting Each Day had the Snuggles and Waves Baby Blanket ($) with cute scalloped edging available and you can find their blog post with all of the information here. You could of course miss the edging if you don’t think its appropriate for a boy, but I think this would look equally cute with blues or greens as it is!

I’m a big fan of Ambassador Crochet! This Soft and Squishy Baby Blanket is available free on the blog here or for a small fee on Ravelry here.

Ambassador Crochet also has the Dream Weaver baby blanket available free on her blog here.

As far as we are aware it is the only hourglass shaped burp cloth crochet pattern out there! This makes it practical and easier to keep on your shoulder to protect your clothes.
