Crochet 4th of July Garland or Bunting Pattern Tutorial

crochet pattern for 4th of july garland or bunting

I want to share with you a crochet pattern that we released last year at this time that had rave reviews from our testers.  The 4th of July Bunting.  When I created this pattern, I had visions of porches with railings that had those big swags of red, white, and blue buntings on them.  It made such a beautiful decoration for every house I saw it on.  I wanted to design one that was unique yet also included that pretty swag.

I also wanted to include the pennants, more common to buntings, and some hanging stars to break up the pattern a bit.   Loving how it turned out; I ended up making 2!  This year, I have moved to a new, big, fabulous home and have a front porch, yet it’s missing that coveted railing.

My thought was to hang it along the roof edge instead.  Perhaps I will take some photos and post them on our Facebook Group

This 4th of July crochet garland works up quickly and is easy to do. Plus, it requires very little yarn to make!

One of our testers loved it

So much so that she made another one as it is, another one with just pennants and a final one with just the swags! See how easily customizable this crochet pattern is?

For this crochet pattern, we used Red Heart Super Saver yarn in white, cherry red, and royal blue. About half of a skein of each color (maybe a little more of the white).
